VINEYARDSThis wine is made from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) (95 %), and Merlot (5%) grape varieties from the oldest vines at our estate LA PLANTA. Traditionally grown vineyards.
The soil is clay- chalky and the sub-soil is pure limestone at one meter from the surface. The altitude of the vineyard is at 900 meters over the sea level.
VINIFICATION & AGEING
The grapes are picked by hand when they have reached the optimum ripeness. The bunches are brought to the winery in 9 kg crates and sorted on a sorting table. After de-stemming, the grapes are pumped into small stainless-steel vats and stay in for several days at a low temperature. Later they carry out a slow alcoholic fermentation at 29º C.
26 months ageing in French oak barrels.
Intense and brilliant ruby red color.
Elegance and austerity, complex, full of fruit nuances. Characteristic aromas that define the wines from the Ribera del Duero region. The wine has an impressive depth with hints of dark fruit, toasts and rose petals.
Tasty and fresh, creamy and elegant, leaving a sensation of a great wine.
PAIRING AND CONSUMPTION
The wine combines perfectly with strong meats such as stews and game and should be served at a temperature of 17 º C.
